The 2010 edition of the DIRECTV Celebrity Beach Bowl is coming this weekend, and some big names have committed to take the field including Jennifer Lopez and Taylor Lautner.
This marks the 4th annual edition of the DIRECTV Celebrity Beach Bowl, and while the talent level won’t match that on the field on Super Bowl Sunday, the celebrities on-site will turn some heads. In addition to Jlo and Twilight’s Taylor Lautner, more than a dozen celebrities and former NFL players will participate in the Beach Bowl. Actresses and models scheduled to compete include Olivia Munn, Jessica Szohr, Marissa Miller, and Niecy Nash. Actors scheduled for the DIRECTV Beach Bowl include Brian McKnight, Aaron Paul, Michael Clark Duncan, David Zayas, and Ed Westwick. The Wayans clan will also be there, including Marlon, Keenan, and Shawn Wayans.
Former NFLers scheduled to compete at the Celebrity Beach Bowl include Warren Moon and Rich Gannon, who will captain and Quarterback their respective teams. Other former players include Merrill Hoge, Mark Schlereth,Eddie George, La’Roi Glover, Desmond Jones and Daryl Johnston.
Eli Manning will return to coach one of the flag football teams, Team Palladia HD, and New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez will oppose Eli, and coach Team Spike HD.
Dan Patrick, who hosts The Dan Patrick Show also on DIRECTV’s 101 channel will call the game, which kicks off at 2:30 Eastern time on Saturday, February 6th. Pre-game coverage will begin at 1:30 Eastern in case you need to set your DIRECTV DVR. The Celebrity Beach bowl generally repeats several times on The 101 if you miss the live airing. Other commentators on scene will include Andrew Siciliano and entertainment reporter Nancy O’dell.
