DIRECTV has some of the funnier commercials going right now. One of my favorites is this gem, where cable company executives are trying to figure out how to compete with the Direct TV HD lineup.
This commercial is a not-so-thinly-veiled slap at Comcast, who earlier this year came out with their HD plan Project Infinity. Designed to compete with DIRECTV and DISH Network, Comcast made the claim that they would be offering “1,000 HD Choices” by the end of the year.
While Comcast does continue to roll out individual HD programs via their on-demand platform, their actual HD channel count varies depending on where you live. Currently, most Comcast customers receive less than 50 HD channels.

I seriously doubt that Comcast will reach 1k hd channels this year, or even by next year.
