DIRECTV Expands Game Lounge

DIRECTV announced yesterday an expansion of their “Game Lounge” service, currently available to customers on channel 110. Pat Sajak is joining the Game Lounge platform, and brings with him new games for 2008.

Sajak is best known the host of Wheel of Fortune, and is the founder of his own company Pat Sajak Games. He will bring to the table the interactive version of his game Code Letter Crossword Connections. Additional exclusive titles from Pat Sajak games will follow throughout the year.

The Game Lounge now claims 130,000 subscribers according to the press release. If those are monthly subscribers at $5.95, DIRECTV pulls in nearly three quarters of a million from the Game Lounge each month. Add to that those who buy the Game Pass for $1.95 per 24 hour play, and the satellite provider has to be fairly happy with how well its casual gaming format is playing out.

The Game Lounge works via the DIRECTV remote control, so casual games are the rule here. Different categories such as card, word, casino, arcade and puzzle games are featured. Popular games available in the lounge include Scrabble, Solitaire, Monopoly, and good old Poker.

In addition to the Pat Sajak games, Game Lounge plans additional games this year including Barbie from Mattel and Dora the Explorer from Nickelodeon.

Additional information can be found at the Game Lounge site.

I am a directv subscriber that includes game lounge. I am having a problem with logging into game lounge on line . I seen on game lounge that there is a spin off contest to enter for a prize. I’d like to enter the contest.

My husband and I were playing 10 pin bowling and you need to work on some errors in this gaem. Your player two look retarded and you need to fix the graphics on player two.
You now have the ball going down the lane much faster than before besides having player two graphics and much different than player one.

you only have maj jong on 2 nights a week , the last 2 weeks while trying to play all 4 nights i stayed up past 2 because i could only play to level 8 without the tv going all the way down to reboot or sitting there till it went back to the main page. This would be a wonderful game ( new) at that if ) i could play all the levels intended. My husband and i play this and only one other game and this has happened before and i have wrote in before about the same mah jong.
How long to rectify the problem and can we get a few extra days of the game.??I”M quite flustered and would hope for a responce in good time. I did e-mail before the holiday weeknd and have no message from that either. please repair and reply.
thank you
