If you’re not sick of Frank Caliendo yet, you soon will be. Caliendo, known for his impressions of George W. Bush and John Madden, was mildly amusing at first when he popped up on Fox NFL Sunday. Then he signed on with TBS as the star of Frank TV. If you caught any of the baseball playoffs last October on TBS, you saw Frank TV advertised to the point of nauseation.
But Frank is back on the advertising track, as he has signed on to work with Dish Network in their latest advertising campaign.
The Dish Network “Never Miss” campaign which began in the fourth quarter of 2007 will continue to be promoted with the aid of Caliendo.
Dish Network is also rolling out a new HD package which does not include standard programming featuring more than 40 enhanced-format channels for $29.99 per month.
Caliendo’s thoughts on being the new Dish pitchman:
“There are a lot of messages out there about pay-TV, DVRs and high-definition channels, which can fool consumers into paying for gimmicks and inferior products. I’ve been a Dish Network customer for years and I’m excited to have the opportunity to tell consumers why Dish Network is the best when it comes to the complete TV viewing experience. In the immortal words of our 43rd president of the
Good one, Frank. While I’m sure you’re excited to tell us about satellite television, I’m sure you’re more excited about the paycheck you’ll be pulling from Dish Network.
Nobody can blame Frank for cashing in now while his stock is high, but impressionists seem to burn through their 15 minutes is a fairly quick manner. Just ask Rich Little, currently playing the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas.

Frank Caliendo is a funny guy. I love the commercial when he imitates President Bush and says the comment about the pause button.
I have to disagree – the foot traffic alone with people looking for the commericals that are not yet on Utube from Dish…has to account for something.
I had never even heard of Dish before Frank joined their marketing team. If you can remember a commerical great – but if you remember it and remember what they are selling – then THAT is a great commerical. I think that gets done here.

Are you insane, He is awesome. Your own rhetoric exposes your opinion as ridiculous. Rich Little is 70 friggin years old. I hope you work 40 weeks or more on the road and then say something that stupid.
Frank a fellow cheesehead is the best since Little and Gorshin.
I think Caliendo is awesome. I actually DVR’d his commercial and we watched it over and over for a while. He’s funny. I really like the Pacino and Deniro impressions. The part where Pacino is just staring at the remote is hilarious. I also like the “Gwee-day” button line (…that guides your way through…). Great stuff. Oh, yeah, my husband works for Dish, but we’d love the AD either way.
This guy is hilarious. I watch him every chance I get. If you don’t think so.. you are crazy.
